I am a multi-faceted Industrial Designer based in Brooklyn, NY, originally from San Francisco, CA. In between living the two coasts, I have spent memorable years in Boston MA, Mumbai India, and Hong Kong. I got hooked on design because I love the transformation of turning an idea into reality. I’m a designer who toggles between hard goods and soft goods. I enjoy three-dimensional design using traditional hard materials and equally enjoy the technicality and fabrication of textiles and patterns to create wearable products. My purpose with design is quite simple - to improve the wellbeing of one’s life whether it be a functional benefit, a beautiful object, an elevated experience, or an inspiring conversation.

In 2013, I launched AYK Design LLC, a twofold design studio and fashion label. AYK Studio provides Industrial Design services for innovative businesses needing high-touch guidance and expertise with the full product development process, from visualization, and development, to manufacturing support.

AYK Shop is a collection of leather goods highlighting craft and materiality. The signature look is created by a layered airbrush technique which showcases a smooth gradient treatment on vegetable-tanned leather inspired by sunsets, deserts, and moonlit skies.

Before my entrepreneurial journey, I spent 7 years at the renowned innovation design firm, IDEO in the North America and Asia offices, helping Fortune 500 companies address complexities in their organization and develop creative and strategic visions for their future.
